About WooCommerce…

Kind of a two-part question…I’m working on opening a small shop using WooCommerce, but I think the plugin is drastically affecting my site speed. For the past few days, Google Analytics is showing me a page load time of 30 seconds when its historically always been a only few seconds. Ive made no other changes recently that would impact my load time. A) Is this something that other users experience and is there a fix? B) Am I even on the right track using WooCommerce?
