Hello, I am investigating the viability of 2 software products. I’m at the stage of performing market research to determine if there is a market for these software products. I am a software developer with no marketing skills. Is there a ‘cheat-sheet’/wiki or some advice about how to go about performing simple, bare-bones market research that I can then follow? Any advice you could offer? Advice on how to go about/approach bare-bones market validation/research of: Industry analysis Customer analysis Competitor analysis Routes to market Regulatory restrictions The sort of advice I am looking for is; “create google surveys and attend Meetups and ask those people in the industry to do the surveys”, “google for information about industry regulations”, etc. Context: The 2 software products are in 2 different industries; civil engineering/architecture and website page building. The locale relevant for regulations is Australia but the software is intended to be sold globally. – by hq overview sqzr2 – –
