I have an app which allows users in a close circle to send money. Typically when users use my app to pay, the benefactor is distributing a lump sum to multiple users. I want to charge the benefactor a flat conveience fee (say $1 or $2) which is meant to cover the multiple 30cent fees from the payment processor. The fee would be static and not based on number of users they are paying, so in some cases they would be slightly overpaying and underpaying in others. Since I could generate revenue off of this fee, would apple or google expect a 30% cut out of it? The payment fee isn’t necessarily an in-app purchase, just a way for the user to cover their own fees but still allowing some potential extra income to float my way. submitted by /u/Hawkins_lol [link] [comments]
