Hey guys, I’ve searched google to no avail to find information on this. Is the practice of using in-theme or plugin updates part of the WP codex / best-practices? And what are they actually called? To be clear, I’m referring to any update that does not appear under the “update” menu in the admin interface. It frustrates me quite a bit when having to update various sites that have a lot of these “hidden” updates and I’d like the vocabulary and knowledge to properly voice my opinion on this and discourage users from partaking in this, if of course it is bad practice. In any case, I feel the admin interface quickly becomes spammy as it is and so do clients, but please educate me on this point 🙂 Thanks for reading. – by hq overview C0ffeeface – –
