Clarity around Rich snippets for subsets of LocalBusiness and what Google consider selfserving
-
Below is an example of rich snippets for a site collecting reviews for a storage facility. https://preview.redd.it/mbwbnsxwoe141.png?width=634&format=png&auto=webp&s=c61df3569d7c3a68859a25eae5416206d8d7def8 They have marked this page up as SelfStorage which is a subset of LocalBusiness. The reviews are unique per location. https://preview.redd.it/boa8dhu2pe141.png?width=974&format=png&auto=webp&s=a8bc3b6bc970b1d54cfc38c3cafc48434624f5a9 A question I have, is how is this not considered self serving? Is it because the reviews aren’t marked up as LocalBusiness/Organization. And any subset of LocalBusiness/Organization can get away with it par se? To me its a grey area. Any clarity or insight would be appreciated. Thanks – by /hq/chee168 – –
