My wife has been making jewelry lately and has talked about selling it online (her jewelry is really good and she has sold some already). I’m a software engineer, and I could probably write an online store site (I’d probably use PHP with Apache and MySQL on Linux, as I’m familiar with that set of tools, and have it hosted on Amazon AWS or something), but I saw there are online store builders available (from Wix, Shopify, and others). I’d lean toward using one of those pre-made online store builders, since they’re probably far more mature and tested than something I could write from scratch now. I’ve also heard of Etsy, an online marketplace for jewelry, though I’ve heard they charge high fees. I imagine one of those pre-existing options is probably the way to go? – by hq overview RolandMT32 – –
