Hi! My husband and his business partners have been in business for 5 years now. Last year they did a little under $4mil in revenue. They have about 50-60 employees. I just came on board with them in a kind of business development role to help with customer service and managing their processes; although I’m kind of just winging it. They are great at what they do, but the fact is that if they grow as much as they have in the next five years without making some changes now they will have big problems. Little background: the company tests safety equipment that lineman use when working on power lines, that is their biggest part of the business. But they also sell new items and other tools these companies use every day. The other component of their business is the testing in our shop, a lot of these items have to be tested to certain standards. Right now they are using Trello to track quotes/orders/equipment in the shop/everything. And actual quotes are being made then invoiced in QuickBooks. I think we are to a point where we could use a CRM/ERP. I’m just a little in over my head on trying to find what would work best for our small company. There are only about 5-10 of us who would actually utilize the system, if that many. What we really need is help with managing inventory, keeping track of quotes/sales orders, and invoicing. Also, the customer management side of it as well. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed after looking at all of the options. I’ve worked in SAP (which I did not like and seems wayyy to big for what we need anyway), and Sage/Sage CRM. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you! – by hq overview ashtomorgo – –
