So my company recently got acquired by a much larger company and all employees that were granted stock options are being paid out at ($10 a share). I joined in late 2016 as an Account Coordinator (entry title) and they gave me 1,000 stock options. My current title is a Senior Account Manager and my salary has significantly increased, but my stock options always remained at 1,000 (honestly never inquired about it). But it’s come to my knowledge that people with similar titles that joined in 2018 received stock options of 2,000 at hire, so they are effectively being paid out $20k (double of me). Am I wrong to feel that I did not receive a fair amount of stock options for the length I was at the company/ and my current title? Is there anything I can do to bring this up to be compensated to what I feel is fair? – by /hq/SurfaceCuriosity – –
