I am a newbie doing some freelance work for stracor.ca As you can see, the entire website is one singular scrolling page. So therefore, all the menu items are custom anchor links. For example to scroll down to the bottom of the page where the contact us section is, I created a menu item where the URL is simply #contact, because I am using a corresponding elementor “menu anchor” widget. However, when you google search “contact stracor” google tries to redirect you to “stracor.ca/contact” when the correct result would be “stracor.ca/#contact”. Again, because the entire site is one single webpage, the stacor.ca/contact URL doesn’t exist and never existed. This is just an example and this error occurs on all anchor menu items. Honestly, (again because the whole site is a single page) I would be okay if all google search results all redirect to the homepage, simply stracor.ca. Could anyone help explain what is going on here. What are the best practices for SEO and menu anchors? Thank you. – by hq overview Brownborough – –
