Got the offer, would be delighted to accept the offer, however there are a few sticky points. So the main thing is that during the recruitment I was asked what I thought the pay range was for the role, a question I hate, but I gave them a range that I thought it fell into, between X and Y. They’ve gone and offered me the role at the lowest they could go , I’m not impressed so have asked to have a quick catch up with the person that interviewed me. I’m ok with telling them what I am worth. The real problem is that there is no mention of stock or future stock on the contract they have offered me. I am no stocks and futures kind of guy, but I did bring it up in the in course of the interview with the CEO and he said there are stock options, but there’s nada on the contract I’ve been offered. Anyone know how I can talk with them about this without giving away the fact that I have no idea how it might work? TL:DR I got offered a good role in a startup, but they’ve not put anything about stock options on my contract, even though we spoke about it in the recruitment process. How do I make sure I get in on any future IPO without sounding like a clown? – by /hq/duncthefunk78 – –
