I have a small IT consulting business running with a partner, we both have 50/50 of the company shares. While I’m working full-time for the company, my partner is working full-time for another company and basically gets a few small jobs for our company. The business itself runs great, we have way more requests than we can serve, so we have to literally decline almost every request we get due to lack of capacity. I currently work about 50 hours a week and pay myself a rather low salary, since I want to keep investing into the company (and possible employees). I’ve tried to hire people, but had no luck so far. The problem is that every company in the IT field here has issues finding employees and being a “one-man-show” doesn’t make things easier, as we cannot provide the benefits the larger businesses can (besides a competitive salary). Many people leave their employment to get started as freelancer, because they can get way more money for the very same work. The issue is that the company isn’t able to grow any further due to lack of helping hands and I’m somewhat clueless how to change that. Any advice is welcome. – by hq overview fdbk4 – –
