Hi everyone. I’ve been doing FB Ads for my e-commerce site for two years. I’m using lookalike audiences with a purchase event with around 1200 purchase data points in the last 60 days.

Before Jan 10 in the USA 10% Lookalike my CPM was $13.00 – $15.00 or less for this audience. Since Jan 10, I can’t get below $23.00 CPM with some smaller more targeted audiences getting to $30 or more CPM.

The ad relevance is rated as above average for all 3 KPIs. My daily budget is $400.

Any idea as to what’s happening? Has Facebook cut ad inventory?

What was CPM last year this time? Is this not seasonal at play since we just came off Christmas. Jan can be a slow month for many in ecommerce.

How long have you been using this lookalike? I’d dig into the Delivery Insights, specifically Audience Saturation > First Time Impression Ratio. If you’ve been using this lookalike for any length of time, then you may be oversaturating your audience.

I’m going to try that now! Thanks!
