    I am using the default Maywood theme on WordPress. I am trying to remove a small section of a single HTML line (has-background-dim). When I try to update it reappears automatically.

    <div class=”wp-block-cover alignfull has-background-dim” style=”background-image:url(https://example.png)”>

    Maybe try this: When you are editing the page and have the cover block selected, look at the column on the right hand side and slide the opacity of the background overlay right down to zero.
