My company’s sales team is growing. Going from one to five over the past year. This is the basic overview of the process, as everything is made-to-order: Sales person receives purchase order, they enter it into our system (quickbooks) and then we send a purchase order to get the product made, once product is made we invoice our customer. The front end of this process is handled by the sales team, the back end is handled by our billing department. The billing department is often confused on what they are billing out to the end customer. This makes them have to call the sales team, and it slows down the whole process. With one person handling the sales, it was easy for that person to enter their sales into our program (quickbooks) and continue the process down the line. Now with more sales team members, how can I streamline the sales coming in? I would like to have each salesperson enter their own sales and be able to send a PO to our vendors to make the product. Is there a better program to do this on? We have quickbooks set up remotely (although it is dreadfully slow). Any suggestions on how to make this more efficient and manage the growing sales team? – by hq overview justinhorrocks – –
