How do I market a new painting business.

Ok so next summer I plan on starting a painting business but I’m not sure what the beat way to market it will be. I know there are the common websites that every small business posts adds on such as craigslist, and facebook. I know I can make some nice legit signs and put them up in heavy traffic areas. Other then that I see myself doing a lot of door to door and just headhunting. Looking for that next lead. I plan on making flyers, shirts, and some business cards. One thing I’m kinda thinking about is taking this winter to kinda plan and build the website. I haven’t even started advertising is this something that I need to be worried about now.
