Myself and two partners are looking to start a game publishing company, and we would really appreciate any advice we can get. We plan to talk to a small business lawyer, but I thought I would post here first to see if anyone else has experience with these types of scenarios. We plan to publish many games under this company, and we would like to design a flexible operating agreement such that we can award equity to additional employees based on the individual product that the employee works on instead of all of the products. Is this possible in an LLC? We are limited on resources and would like to avoid starting additional LLCs for each game we publish. Sample scenario: Company starts with 2 games (game “A” and game “B”) and 3 owners Original owners should have equity in all games published by the company in the New employee hired to work on game “B” New employee should receive equity in only game “B” Thanks in advance! – by hq overview modalist – –
