How much equity is appropriate

I hired a freelancer to build a MVP which I have been using/testing in house at my business for a couple months. I created the wireframes and designed most of the app in terms of its UI, he wrote the code. He has already been paid for building the MVP. Now I want to take it public. I’m considering bringing the freelancer on as cofounder as we work well together. I am non-technical. How much equity would be appropriate to offer? – by hq overview nickelsdimeslemons – –
