How to have a successful music career with a minimal/limited amount of social media?

Is it possible? Could I make enough of an outreach to online music magazines, blogs, reviewers and streaming services for social media to not matter? I’m tired of social media negativity and angry mob mentality for my personal accounts and the last thing I want is to have 2x more of that.
