Let’s assume you have a local ‘Car Wash’ business and you wish to advertise it locally. Great, the obvious choice for target keywords would be- ‘car wash near me’, ‘car wash in <city name>’, ‘car cleaning services near me’, ‘car deep cleaning near me’, and so on. But the space is competitive and you are not getting many leads. Your lead to conversion ratio is also a low 20%. Now what, how can you get better results? One way could be to limit location targeting to a 5-10km radius circle surrounding the business’ physical location. But what if someone far out this circle or out of city is searching for a car wash service for a friend/relative. Another interesting way could be to do ‘hyperlocal targeting’ (people love creating jargons). It’s really simple though, just add the second line of your business’ address in your target keywords. So, ‘car wash in <city name>’ becomes ‘car wash in <city name> <street name1>’ or ‘car wash in <city name> <street name2>’ depending on the actual location of your business. What ends up happening is you appear in searches where people are specifically looking for a car wash in their locality and your lead to conversion ratio starts increasing. This applies to all businesses where distance/location is a deciding factor for the consumer. Happy hunting. Cheers. – by /hq/Kimblyee – –
