I work 11-13 hours a day, but I feel guilty not wanting to work the weekends.

I own 9% of a startup that recently raised at a $7m valuation. It’s turned into a very serious startup. We are a team of 6 and each of us work 11-13 hours a day. We arrive at the office at 8am and leave usually around 8:30pm. By the time I get home I eat dinner and pretty much get into bed. Recently, the CEO asked me to join him and another engineer to work weekends as well… I initially agreed, but after thinking about it for a bit I told him I don’t think I can work weekends. I need breaks, and come Monday I feel really pumped to get going again. The engineer messaged me today about some work, and I don’t know what to do. I really don’t want to work weekends. I’m 24.. I want at least a little bit of a life while I’m still young.. especially during the summer lol. How should I handle this? Should I be working weekends? I’d love your feedback. – by hq overview TrafalgarSquare – –
