Hello all! I need some last minute tips please!!! I have an interview this week for an Associate Brand Manager role at a cannabis company in Canada. It’s a huge space and this role would be amazing (like working in the alcohol industry when it first started). My background is highly relevant, and I’m confident in my ability to learn quickly and do the job well. Problem is, I don’t have a day’s experience working in branding. I studied Marketing & Branding from a tier 1 university (an Ivy League), and I’ve worked internationally (SF, Seattle, Dubai). I spent 3 years most recently working at Ogilvy, an ad agency, in Dubai. So while I have some great names on my CV and some cool stories to relay about my experience and my skills, I’m worried that my lack of relevant experience (i.e. brand management) might be a problem. Like I said, I am 100% confident in my ability to learn whatever the job entails and to get up to speed on role-specific and company-specific methodologies and nuances. But I wouldn’t be able to come in on day 1 and know exactly what to do, given that I have an agency background. Any tips on how to sell myself in this interview? Anything I should prep beforehand? – by hq overview japplesapples – –
