Removal of headphone jacks, AirPods, $1000 stand. Every absurdity Apple has done in the past is just part of their marketing strategy. It’s clear that they would rather be infamous than be ignored amidst the rising technology competition. So here are some reasons why: – It attracts attention: Attention is attention doesn’t matter good or bad, the more attention the better and this is a simple core principle of marketing. Your friends will complaint about it. The media will complaint about it. Trump got elected more because people hated him, not loved him. – It distinguishes itself from other phones: You know an iPhone 11 when you see one. The teraphobics are gonna see them in their dreams. There is no escaping from the sight of this horrendous design. – Outrageously long names: another deliberate attempt to scream for attention. Apple wants people to be talking about “iPhone 11 Pro Max” and ” Super Retina XDR Display” over “Samsung Note 10 Pro” or “One Plus 7 Pro”. – Refusal to make iPhone SE 2: Apple knew people wanted this, but why would they sell the iPhone SE 2 when people would eventually buy the iPhone 11? In their mind it is “Fuck no we are not a “budget” phone company, we are fucking Apple, we sell $999 phones and make billions”. – by hq overview DizzyxSin – –
