Basically I was asked to finish a project which was to connect to an API, store the data in MongoDB and then retrieve that data and display it every x minutes on the terminal. I finished the project using a language I’m learning, just to gain more experience. The person I talked to said I was going to move onto the next stage of the interview so I think I have a decent chance of landing the job, however The actual job description: “The individual in this role will be trained in website monitoring, performance testing, and capacity planning. This includes training on industry leading technical products like HP LoadRunner, Dynatrace, and Splunk. The day to day activities will include building performance/load test scripts, running performance/load tests, configuring monitoring and producing reports and presentations for our clients.” Required Proficient in at least one coding language (Python, C or Java) Currently pursuing Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field Understanding of Web application technologies and architectures It seems like a QA role. However, I have been struggling a bit trying to get my first job. Ultimately I want to be a software developer. Would picking up this job at least be a step in the right direction? Or should I keep searching? In the in-person interview I plan on telling them that my goal is to be a software developer, and if this internship will have opportunity to work on software projects. This is what my current resume looks like. https://imgur.com/a/QPJ2nhG – by hq overview Okmanl – –
