    Hello marketers! I have an unusual career journey. Since graduating college in 2016, I started doing contract work as a marketing assistant then a marketing coordinator and other marketing consulting work on the side. I have done work for various industries like health & beauty, healthcare, tech, real estate, and non-profits. I just got a full-time offer for a job in a completely different industry now (cannabis products & cultivation construction – PS it’s legal in my state). I’m not super passionate about the industry but it’s a challenging role that will help me improve my skills and abilities, plus a decent size pay bump and I’ll get to have a manger title. I guess I’m nervous that I won’t want to stay in the industry and maybe in a couple of years or so want to move into a different industry. I really like marketing so I see myself staying in the same field, but I’m wondering how difficult it is to switch industries? There really isn’t one industry i’m passionate about, I just know that I like B2C marketing more than B2B (Here i’ll get to do both). I’m just wondering how hard it is to switch industries in marketing throughout a career? I don’t want to get pigeon-hold, especially when there’s not one industry I particularly want to be in. – by hq overview ModernDayEclectic – –
