Hey guys, Adwords were blocked on the websites we are hosting on our server. Turns out it’s infected with malware. We own a shared server without access to root and we manage it by an online panel and ftp. We host around 30 websites and about 25 of them are WordPress. Only few of them we actually built on our own and have access to and rest we’re just hosting. I checked one of the websites and it was some php file inside wp-includes. I deleted it but surely I doubt that’s all I have to do. I also used Wordfence and other scanning plugins and turns out a lot of core files are infected/changed. I assume the website was built using pirated plugins so now it’s spreading to other websites. Today we got an email from google that pointed us to a website we built and sadly it got infected as well. My question is: how should we approach it? Manually going through about 25 websites and using plugins to scan them does not sound fun. We’re only a small team of 3 people and I’m the only one who works on websites. Thanks for any tips guys. – by hq overview ChaosweaverV2 – –
