I’d like to start a business out of a van within the next few years selling boomboxes and art work out of a van at music festivals across the country. I don’t plan to really make much more than to get by and pay for bills insurance and maybe put a little in savings. I don’t care about a 401k or anything like that I just want a life on the road. I’ve already got connections to an artist whose very talented and know how to build boomboxes for $60 that I can sell for $180-200. Another avenue I’ve thought of is pedicures. Peoples feet get disgusting at these things and people would pay good money for a pedicure or even a foot bath. Probably more than average. If you could have some type of vehicle you gave pedicures out of and travelled around the country to festivals you could make some decent cash. I’m not sure how licensing works state by state but it’s something I’m going to look into soon. I’d probably have 1 other employee if I did either of these. I currently work in landscaping which gives me an opportunity to go to these festivals and meet people and make connections a couple times a year. It’s a very relaxed company and they’ll give me off whenever I want, I’d like to start vending on the side and see if I can eventually quit landscaping and make it a full time thing. The goal of this isn’t to get rich but to get by while being able to put a little into savings and see everything on the road. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this or any suggestions on where to start learning. submitted by /u/Cozzafrenz [link] [comments]
