I am a recent college graduate (May 2019) my degree is Strat Comm: Advertising, minor: Interactive Media Design and I’m currently working part-time for a small but quickly growing digital marketing agency, I have worked here for a year. I mainly do Facebook advertising, but I have certifications for AdWords, Analytics, and Facebook. Most of our clients are e-commerce for extreme sports or athletic apparel brands. I love my coworkers and the office’s environment, but I hate the town and I am just really unhappy and I want to move to a bigger city and need a full-time position (currently working 2 jobs). I want to apply for more creative positions, I love branding most of our clients already have their own voice and image and basically just need us for conversions and brand awareness. I like helping a brand find their voice, personality, demographic, I like doing the research. Honestly, I am not even sure how to find this type of job position, if it exists what keywords do I search. In my undergrad, most of my courses focused on this type of advertising/marketing work. I need to update my portfolio, I use the free version of Wix and I have contemplated paying for a membership so I’ll look more professional. Most of what is currently on my portfolio is work from college courses, my capstone project was helping a non-profit re-brand and make the community more aware of what it is they do and increasing donations and volunteers. I have an entire casebook from the project, should this be on my website, if so how should I display it? I also contributed work to another non-profit project, which is also on there. How should I display my work from my current job, right now I have screenshots of the ads that I have created should I just display them in a gallery and/or slideshow? I am sorry if this post was mostly rambling or confusing, I just feel lost, stuck, and hopeless. I really appreciate any advice you can offer. – by hq overview Mad_Tub – –
