Portfolio Schools, Masters Programs, and In House Universities

Hello! I am thinking of being a copywriter. I know I need a solid portfolio. What do you think will be the best school to do the job? It seems like everyone filters from Brand Center, but for the sake of diversity is there anywhere else? The school comes off as seeming elitist, costly, and mostly self aggrandizing. I am wondering about new schools such as Denver Ad School. I hear Miami Ad is a rip off except for the Hamburg location, and that Creative Circus is dead. Does anyone have contemporary thoughts on how to break into the industry? I know there are many opinions already on this forum that span back to 2010 at least.
