I’m not talking async here, I’m talking about code running on the main thread that is churning for a few seconds and this causes the message pump to stop processing UI messages. I was able to do this in .NET WPF (by essentially creating another temporary message pump) but I’m no web master so I’m wondering if you veterans know of a pattern/solution for this (that doesn’t involve refactoring to async). Many thanks in advance. P.S. I’m using React JS.
