I have the option to create a website for an organization and would like some suggestions on what base I should use. Some context and vague brief: It’s a private school and they want a site where people get information about the school. They sell some “merch” so they need a shop The client want parents to be able to register to this site and have some sort of list where parents can contact eachother A news letter feature A blog feature Extra A feature like http://www.doodle.com where parents can show if they can attend certain events Extra: Parents should ideally only be able to register a user to the site after they’ve paid an annual fee It has to be as easy to maintain as possible because of rotation of people within the school and not tech savvy people I was thinking of making this with wordpress but I am not too familiar with it. I am sure there are loads of plugins that can use to implement this, like woocommerce for the shop and perhaps buddypress for the login feature. But for their needs it might be to bloated with features. Basically what I am asking is if you have any suggestions for either wordpress plugins I should look in to, or if I should look at another CMS completely. Any tips are super welcome! Thanks! – by hq overview matanuskathunderfuck – –
