Hey guys! I got interested in business last year, tried some more standard stuff (FBA, ecommence, etc.) and realized I’d love to do my own thing. Built a mobile app from an idea, along the way learned and read a lot about lean startups, made a lot of connections with other entrepreneurs and mentors, and have grown so much during the whole process! Because of all of this, I got a great job for after-graduation, and want to move on to other things. The app is fully built, has had over 1,200+ beta testers in 60+ cities and has great feedback. It’s a hub for niche communities – mainly targeted for college campuses. We partner with clubs and groups, they form communities on the app for artists, CS majors, etc., and those students can post, chat, message, and list items/services. It’s like discord or hq overview, but kept local and great for buy/sell. The thing is: we have almost 0 active users and $0 revenue. From the feedback, interviews, and low-fi MVP tests, it seems like something that could be widely adopted and we have an email list of 23k student emails from a previous business – I just don’t have the funding or interest in dedicating the next couple years to grow this, especially with the opportunity cost of the job. Is this the kind of thing you just have to walk away from with nothing but the great experience and knowledge, or is there a way I could sell the platform and associated assets? – by hq overview extremelyobservant – –
