I’ve been working in a startup for 2 months. Needless to say the startup is slightly chaotic, but for the most part, shit gets done. We have a software application in the healthcare space and it’s pretty neat with a lot of great features. What irks me though is that there is virtually zero software documentation. Nobody has anything written anywhere. The developers just code and leave it at that. As someone that loves to write and wants to eventually become a self employed freelance writer, I think this could be a great opportunity to help my startup as well improve my writing skills. I’ve done technical documentation in another job in the past, so I have experience. Plus, nobody else at my startup is stepping up. I have no problem writing pages on the software’s features. I’m happy to do it. As an account manager and implementation consultant for this startup, how should I offer these services? I have other responsibilities but I realize I have plenty of time to focus on this project I’m eager on starting. – by /hq/ruoffcampusthrowaway – –
