    My parents and I are very interested in owning a restaurant one day, with a specialty in dumplings and baos. I want to keep it local and family owned. We live in a small town in south Texas where authentic Chinese food is non-existent. We’re currently not financially able to lease a restaurant nor food truck, so we would have to take out loans. That’s why we were hoping to start out in our home and deliver first, but after researching cottage food laws, I’m not sure if we can do that legally since dumplings have meat fillings.
