    Traditional marketing strategies won’t cut it for a new business I’m working with; they choose their clients, not the other way around. I can’t say too much, but I’m going to describe it as best as I can. When they choose a client, THEY make the initial contact. Because their clientele is legitimately SO exclusive, the main response they get is along the lines of, “Huh? Who? Never heard of it. Is this a scam? I’m on the do-not-call list.” The truth is that if there was a way for these people to instantly understand what was being offered to them, and if they trusted the company behind it the offer, there is almost no way they would turn it down. They were chosen because the offer was literally made just for them. For this reason, brand awareness and brand credibility is extremely crucial. The goal is to build the right kind of awareness and credibility around the brand, so that when they make that initial contact, the client is excited and honored instead of confused and skeptical. Most people are aware of the Black (Centurion) AmEx card, but very few people have one, because very few people qualify for it. But that’s a bad allegory, because unlike the Centurion AmEx card, this company choses clientele in a way that has NOTHING to do with their finances. They’re not “targeting” specific groups or types of people at all; it’s honestly more akin to drawing names out of a hat. Anyhow, I’m thinking maximum PR, perhaps joining forces with a major national charity, maybe even a minor celebrity spokesperson, and so on. But I know there are MANY different angles to approach this from, so I’m just looking to consider as many different thoughts and concepts as possible before I finalize a cohesive strategy and action plan.
