Hello everyone. Longtime lurker. First time poster. I am helping someone out with a site and I have a few questions about structured data. I am trying to add JSON-ld structured data to a page, specifically article type. I made and tested the snippet and entered it at the top of the body. I cannot add to the head currently, but online it says you can add to the body. In Google’s structured data testing tool it says no errors. It is a WordPress site and has Yoast installed. There is also some sitewide structured data in the head. This is also in JSON-ld. Also, I thought that WordPress’s “set featured image” would also set the image for the snippet in the SERP, but I suppose not. When I try to view the snippet I get none of the structured data. Is it because the two sets of structured data are conflicting? Is it because it is not ranking high enough/not authoritative enough for schema results? Is there a way to view snippets as “though they are being displayed with schema” even if they wouldn’t be granted that status on the real SERP? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you. – by hq overview J_Lyons1988 – –
