I’m creating ads for a sunrooms and home additions contractor. They have a budget of about $1000 tops. Originally we were splitting it between FB and Google but last month tried to put it all into facebook because we weren’t seeing great results from Google search. Going into the New Year without an increase in budget and I’m considering giving Google another try, but do you all tend to agree that with that small of a budget we should keep the strategy in one place?

The other thing that I have considered is doing search campaigns in Google and just remarketing in Facebook. Thereby putting more budget in Google and just a smaller remarketing in FB. There is just so much saturation on Google for this type of service, I wonder if this small of a budget is going to get us anywhere.

what results did you have last month compared to the previous months when you split the budget between the two?
At the first glance, this doesn’t look like a simple service, and my assumption is that people do a lot of google and social media research before choosing a contractor. So personally, I would go with Google search + google and FB remarketing based on content seen.

I work with a lot of general contractors and home improvement pros. You may want to try consider trying Bing. The age demographics for me at least skew that way. Personally, I have found this produces really solid results. I then do re targeting on FB and Google Display Network
