Hi guys, if none of this makes sense please let me know. I want to make software but lack the necessary business skills to get there. I have created quite a few websites and apps. Like I made a desktop app that helps train your drawing skills. I have written a suite of file system tools that perform micro-tasks. I wrote a website which accepts credit card payments through a portal, and has a license system for some apps I am selling. The website gets a lot security attacks (luckily none succeed likely due to the custom infrastructure). I’ve made about 10 video games with various kinds of technology that are built on custom frameworks. I also made a lot of small tools like basically a custom version of Launch4j, and I wrote an installer. I think it’s silly to do all this work. I mean most employers don’t care about a portfolio past one or two projects. I can write new apps pretty fast, but that skill doesn’t matter at most software jobs where you work support. I want to make use of that skill, so I am trying to figure out how I can turn this ability (or what you call it) into a business. – by hq overview ScriptKid2 – –
