Theme customizations not updating.

Hello, Not a coder. I’ll make changes in the theme customize screen and it will show up in the preview, but not when I visit the site in my browser. The pages I create seem to update fine. I’ve installed and changed multiple themes thinking it was something conflicting with the theme, but it seems every time I get a few customizations going, the theme just stops reflecting changes. This was with the default Twenty Ninteen theme, and a bunch of others. I’m not sure if this is related to the reported bug in the stickied thread, I looked through it but the thread was closed 4 months ago, I didn’t understand any of it so I can’t really say if it’s related. I tried searching similar topics and keep coming up with cache incidents. or customize page not working. I’ve cleared my browser cache, I’ve troubleshooted deactivating plugins, used WP plugins to clear caches, uninstalled a bunch of themes and it’s always same result.
