Hello! Since yesterday, every few hours, I receive emails via webform submission from each of several webforms on my domain. Sometimes I’ll receive one set of forms, other times I will receive two separate sets of submissions at once. Each set of submissions lists a different email address in the email address field of the form. Every other field is filled with a seemingly random string of uppercase and lowercase letters, also with random length. The IP addresses for the submissions have been from a variety of countries outside of the U.S. I can handle the annoyance. And, I will be looking into whether there are any captcha widgets for Adobe Muse. But, what I just don’t understand is the purpose of this spam. I’m used to receiving advertisements via webform about once/week or less. But I can’t imagine what the purpose of this is other than annoying me. I can’t think of anyone who would want to put this sort of effort into annoying me. So, has anyone here experienced this? Does anyone know if these webform submissions have a purpose other than annoying me? – by hq overview ellivibrutp – –
