If you use Facebook Ads regularly, you may know of the Ad Library. This lets you see, for a particular competitor, what ads they’re currently running. This is great for looking at specific competitors, but doesn’t let you search ads across all competitors. For example, you can’t see all ads on Facebook that feature the term power washing. I’m aware that there are a couple of tools that do let you do this, but they all require payment or are quite limited. I’m looking to make a free tool which will hopefully store somewhere between 10-100 million ads, and let you search them. I wanted to get your take though on what you’d like to be able to search ads by/what your dream tool would look like. I’m currently planning to store data and let you search by all the basic ad fields (text, headline, description, CTA etc.), and also: For image ads, objects in the image and any text overlays. For video ads, text used in the video and a transcription of the audio. Would these be useful? Are there other things you’d want to search by? Have you ever wanted to see all Facebook ads that have x/y/z in them? – by /hq/mektrik – –
