    Well, I don’t use [WordPress.com](https://WordPress.com), so I don’t know what themes are available on it. But for [WordPress.org](https://WordPress.org), my go-to theme is Astra. Other good themes I recommend are Ocean WP and GeneratePress.

    I would also recommend you get a different host. I don’t really recommend [WordPress.com](https://WordPress.com), unless you really hate dealing with hosting in any way imaginable. But then again, that’s why you pay for the higher price.

    But yeah, 300$ is really expensive for a simple blog.
