Fb automatically does this. If you click on an ad for saphora, you’ll get competitor makeup ads the rest of the day.
This is even more extreme when fb knows the user’s purchase history.
You buy a fancy plant shelf — you’ll be shown competitors’ fancy plant shelf ads for eternity.
It’s incredibly fucking unethical imo. A lot of times Business A will create an awesome educational ad and landing page to inform a user on how cool a product is, then FB will show them ads from Business B, C, and D (competitors who don’t care about making profit bc they have 500k in funding).
